Deon Jackson Shut Down Against Patriots
2 years agoIndianapolis Colts running back Deon Jackson rushed 11 times for 23 yards while adding two catches for 13 yards in Week 9 against the New England Patriots. Jackson started this one but was shut down in a game where the Patriots defense completely dominated from start to finish. Quarterback Sam Ehlinger actually led the team in rushing with 39 yards. Head coach Frank Reich dubbed Jackson as the guy heading into this one, and he technically was, as no other Colts running back had more than three carries. This could potentially be Jackson's last chance to be fantasy relevant, as Jonathan Taylor (ankle) looks to shake off his injury while Zack Moss enters the Colts backfield.
