2 years agoSan Francisco 49ers running back Jeff Wilson Jr. had four carries for 14 yards in the Niners' 31-14 blowout victory over the Los Angeles Rams. He also caught two passes for 21 yards. Now that Christian McCaffrey has joined the team and had a full week to absorb the offense, McCaffrey has taken over as the alpha RB, and Wilson has fallen to back into a very limited roll. He only saw 19 snaps, many of which came in two-back scenarios, 11 of which involved him running routes, but even his two-back usage could decrease when the San Fran receiving core (which was without Deebo Samuel and Jauan Jennings) gets healthy.
