Noah Syndergaard To Start Game 3 Of World Series
2 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies right-hander Noah Syndergaard will start Game 3 of the World Series against the Houston Astros on Monday in Philadelphia, while left-hander Ranger Suarez will get the nod for Game 4 on Tuesday. Game 3 will be Syndergaard's second start of the postseason, with his first coming in Game 4 of the National League Division Series against the Atlanta Braves in which he allowed a run on one hit while walking none and striking out three in just three innings pitched. He's given up just one run on three hits with a walk and four strikeouts in 5 1/3 frames this postseason. The Phillies will hope Thor can give them some length, but there's a good chance we won't see him go too long in this one. Syndergaard made two starts against Houston this year, going 1-0 with three runs allowed on five hits while walking six and striking out four in 9 1/3 innings.
