Aaron Jones An RB2 Against Tough Buffalo Defense
2 years agoGreen Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones will travel to Buffalo to face the Bills this Sunday night. The 27-year-old struggled on the ground last week against Washington, recording his second-lowest carry count of the season. However, he was finally involved heavily in the passing game, catching nine of his 10 targets for 53 yards and two touchdowns. Jones will need to be heavily utilized as a pass catcher once again to have a successful fantasy outing against a Bills defense that allows the fourth-fewest fantasy points per game to the running back position. With wide receiver Allen Lazard (shoulder) listed as doubtful, the sixth-year running back should see a high volume of targets as quarterback Aaron Rodgers looks to check down to one of his most reliable options. Expectations need to be managed, as Jones is not a sure-fire RB1 this week, but he should still be considered a solid RB2 with some risk of finishing outside the top 24 if Buffalo eliminates the Packers offense entirely.
