Aaron Rodgers Should Be Left On The Bench In Week 8
2 years agoGreen Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers (thumb) will travel to Buffalo to face the Bills this Sunday night. The reigning MVP was given Wednesday off from practice but returned to full Thursday and is on track to play. He finally finished as a QB1 in Week 7 but failed to score 16 fantasy points and posted his third-lowest fantasy total of the season. To put it bluntly, Rodgers has been a bad fantasy option. He is the current QB18 overall and has averaged just 14.3 fantasy points per game. The 38-year-old will be without his top target Allen Lazard (shoulder) and has to face a Buffalo defense that allows the sixth-fewest fantasy points per game to the quarterback position. Since Rodgers has failed to produce significant fantasy numbers through seven weeks, even when given a plus matchup, he can safely be benched or left on the waiver wire in Week 8. The veteran does have a chance to bounce back next week against Detroit.
