DeVonta Smith A WR2 In Week 8
2 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith will face the Pittsburgh Steelers in Philadelphia this Sunday. While many considered the second-year receiver a boom-or-bust fantasy option heading into the season, he has finished with fewer than 10 fantasy points on only two occasions so far in Half-PPR leagues. With Pittsburgh allowing the second-most fantasy points per game to wide receivers and giving up the most receiving yards in the league through seven weeks, Smith and his blazing speed should thrive on Sunday. Coverage will certainly shift over to teammate A.J. Brown, allowing Smith to take advantage of soft coverage. The 23-year-old receiver has excelled more for fantasy when the Eagles' offensive line is at full strength. With Lane Johnson practicing in full on Thursday, Philadelphia will head into Week 8 with their starting offensive line combination intact. Quarterback Jalen Hurts will have time to go through his progressions and find Smith for easy yardage. Smith is a solid WR2 in Week 8.
