The seventh NFL Sunday of the 2022 season has come and gone. Hopefully, you woke up on Monday morning feeling very good about how your week went. However, this week's slate of games was certainly stress-inducing for many fantasy football managers.
Part of that stress was caused by a group of players who drastically underachieved in Week 7. These players simply did not meet fantasy expectations, and it cost their managers in a big way. Let's take a look at the biggest busts from Week 7, as well as whether or not we can still have some trust in these players moving forward.
All point totals are based on the PPR scoring system.

Fantasy Football Quarterback Busts
Lamar Jackson, 11.9 FPTS
The Ravens won on Sunday, but Jackson had a quiet game, completing just nine passes for 120 yards. He added 59 yards on the ground. For the first time in 2022, the talented signal-caller was unable to contribute a touchdown in the passing or rushing attack. Even after four consecutive games in which he failed to reach his projections, Jackson is primed to get back on track against the Buccaneers in Week 8.
Dak Prescott, 16.35 FPTS
Prescott completed 19 passes for 207 yards and one touchdown in his return from a thumb injury. Although he didn't post the greatest passing stats, he avoided turning the football over, all while leading Dallas to the win. In theory, he should be primed for a big Week 8 performance against the Bears, but we said the same thing before the Detroit game. Consider Prescott a low-end QB1 ahead of next week's matchup.
Jared Goff, 3.8 FPTS
Goff looked horrendous on Sunday, losing two fumbles while throwing two interceptions. He finished the day 21-for-26 with 228 yards and zero scores. Goff had looked great through the first four games of the season, but his last two outings have been massively underwhelming. The 28-year-old falls into the QB2 tier ahead of next week's game against the Dolphins.
Ryan Tannehill, 5.2 FPTS
Tannehill completed 13 of 20 passes for 132 yards and zero touchdowns against the Colts. He lost one fumble along the way, but Tennessee still managed to win. The 34-year-old has had a frustrating start to his 2022 campaign and could be fighting for his job going forward. Go ahead and leave Tannehill on waivers in single-quarterback leagues.
Fantasy Football Running Back Busts
Leonard Fournette, 4.6 FPTS
The Buccaneers played some terrible football in their loss to the Panthers, and Fournette was no exception. The veteran running back amassed just 19 rushing yards and seven receiving yards during the frustrating Week 7 contest. This was a massive step backward after he averaged 25.5 fantasy points over the course of his last three games. Look for Fournette to bounce back during what should be a competitive clash with the Ravens next week.
A.J. Dillon, 1.5 FPTS
Dillon rushed four times for 15 yards in the Packers' miserable loss to the Commanders. Not only was this his worst fantasy outing of the year, but it was also the first time he rushed less than five times and the second time he was held without a target. The Packers are happy with the production they have received from Aaron Jones, and as a result, Dillon is borderline droppable in redraft formats.
James Robinson, 0.0 FPTS
Robinson was unable to haul in his lone target against the Giants on Sunday. He also didn't log a rushing attempt in the contest. There has been a night-and-day difference between the running back's first three games and his last four games. Right now, not only should he be benched in most leagues, but he could be worth dropping soon.
Kareem Hunt, 7.8 FPTS
Hunt's disappointing Week 7 performance was his second-worst outing of 2022, ranking behind last week's 1.2-point showing. This time around, he totaled four rushing yards, four receiving yards, and a touchdown. That's right: Hunt found the end zone and still had an alarmingly bad game. As long as Nick Chubb continues to produce elite results out of the backfield, Hunt should be benched in fantasy football.
Fantasy Football Wide Receiver Busts
Deebo Samuel, 9.4 FPTS
Sure, Samuel's game could have been worse. However, it also could have been way better. The talented playmaker finished the day with 42 receiving yards and two rushing yards in Sunday's loss to the Chiefs. The 49ers' recent addition of Christian McCaffrey adds another weapon to the offense, leaving room for Samuel's role to decrease. He is nothing more than a mid-range WR2 heading into next week's game against the Rams.
Keenan Allen, 3.1 FPTS
In his first game back from injury, Allen amassed two catches for 11 yards. It was an underwhelming outing from the 30-year-old who can no longer be viewed as a must-start fantasy weapon. The WR is on bye next week, but he has a chance to get back on track against a woeful Falcons secondary in Week 9.
Courtland Sutton, 5.3 FPTS
The poor quarterback play of Brett Rypien meant that Sutton hauled in just three of his nine targets on Sunday. He added 23 yards in what turned out to be his second-worst fantasy outing of 2022. Sutton has just 8.7 fantasy points over his last two games, which speaks to the overall struggles that Denver has endured at the quarterback position. Even if Russell Wilson returns in Week 8, Sutton will rank as nothing more than a low-end WR2 versus Jacksonville.
Drake London, 1.9 FPTS
The overall ineptitude of the Falcons' offense was evident in Week 7. London turned his lone target into a nine-yard reception, leading to his worst fantasy outing of the season. Even in a more favorable matchup against the Panthers next week, the rookie drops into the mid-range WR3 tier.
Fantasy Football Tight End Busts
Mark Andrews, 0.4 FPTS
Andrews, who rushed for four yards on Sunday, was unable to haul in either of his two targets. Although he was nursing a knee injury, most of the blame for Andrews' underwhelming performance falls on the fact that Lamar Jackson completed just nine passes. Just like all elite fantasy weapons, the 27-year-old should get back on track in Week 8 against the Buccaneers.
Zach Ertz, 6.1 FPTS
Ertz turned in his first single-digit showing of the season, catching just two passes for 21 yards in Week 7. He also scored a two-point conversion. During Thursday's win, the 31-year-old saw his lowest target and snap shares since Week 1. Ertz lost some volume due to the additions of DeAndre Hopkins and Robbie Anderson to the offense, but there are also some vacated targets to go around due to Marquise Brown's (foot) injury. Fantasy managers should consider Ertz a mid-range TE1 against the Vikings next week.
Kyle Pitts, 3.9 FPTS
Pitts hauled in three of five targets for nine yards during Sunday's dud against the Bengals. He is averaging just 6.6 fantasy points per game this season and should be viewed as nothing more than a low-end TE1 for the time being. In Week 8, Atlanta will take on a Carolina defense that shut down Tom Brady and his offensive weapons this past Sunday.
Noah Fant, 1.7 FPTS
After a run of solid games, Fant hauled in just one pass for seven yards in his worst fantasy outing of the season. Despite his underwhelming performance, the 24-year-old has emerged as the Seahawks' top tight end and will be a solid steaming in Week 8 as he takes on a Giants defense that just surrendered 10.7 points to Evan Engram.
