Robert Tonyan Records Three Receptions In Week 7
2 years agoGreen Bay Packers tight end Robert Tonyan caught three of his four targets, gaining 32 yards, during the team's 23-21 loss to the Washington Commanders. After being peppered with 12 targets in Week 7, the 28-year-old resumed his usual role and was used sparingly. The matchup was not great on paper, but after being targeted heavily last week when Randall Cobb (ankle) was carted off the field, there was hope that Tonyan would see similar volume. With the Packers' offense struggling, the sixth-year tight end will be tough to trust moving forward. Green Bay will travel to Buffalo next week, whose defense allows the eighth-fewest points per game to the tight end position and have yet to allow one to score. Tonyan should be left off the fantasy radar next week, even with Travis Kelce and Gerald Everett on bye.
