Russell Wilson Undergoing MRI Exam
2 years agoDenver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson (hamstring) is getting an MRI exam on Tuesday for a hamstring injury that could be "fairly significant." Head coach Nathaniel Hackett said that Wilson picked up the hamstring injury late in the Monday night loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. Depending on the results of the MRI, Wilson could be forced to miss time, starting with a Week 7 game against the New York Jets. The 33-year-old started out firing on all cylinders on Monday before cooling off considerably to finish 15-for-28 for just 188 yards and one touchdown in the 19-16 overtime loss. If Wilson's hamstring injury is serious enough to sideline him, Brett Rypien would become Denver's starter under center. We'll be keeping a close eye on Wilson's practice participation this week.
