Dolphins Listening On Mike Gesicki
2 years agoThe Miami Dolphins are in the "we're willing to listen" phase with tight end Mike Gesicki, according to sources, but they aren't quite shopping him to other teams. Gesicki does have three touchdowns (two in Week 6) in the first three games, but he's underused in head coach Mike McDaniel's offense. He has 15 receptions through the first six weeks after catching 73 passes in 2021. Team executives aren't really interested in taking on his $10.9 million franchise tag and find it odd that the Dolphins placed the tag on him in March to sit him on the bench. Perhaps the 27-year-old's six-catch, 69-yard, two-touchdown performance in the Week 6 loss to the Minnesota Vikings will interest more tight end-needy clubs.
