Optimism That Chris Olave Will Play In Week 7
2 years agoThere is optimism that New Orleans Saints first-round rookie wide receiver Chris Olave (concussion) will return for Thursday Night Football against the Arizona Cardinals after being inactive for the Week 6 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. The Saints are expecting to be without receivers Michael Thomas (foot) and Jarvis Landry (ankle) yet again this week, so Olave should be the top receiving target if he's cleared before Thursday night's contest. The 22-year-old has touchdown catches in his last two games and has impressed through his first five games with the Saints, posting a line of 25 catches (42 targets), 389 yards and two touchdowns. If he's back this week against Arizona, he should be in starting fantasy lineups. Tre'Quan Smith led the Saints in receiving without their top three wideouts available, going for a 3-43-1 line in the loss to Cincy.
