2 years agoLos Angeles Rams running back Cam Akers (personal) was shockingly ruled out for Sunday's contest against the Carolina Panthers after missing back-to-back practices with what the team deemed a "personal issue." According to Josina Anderson, Akers is not dealing with any personal matters and his status is in fact related to football. Head coach Sean McVay stated that the Rams would be handling the situation with Akers internally and declined to provide any additional details. It's fair to wonder at this point if Los Angeles is shopping the 23-year-old ahead of the NFL trade deadline. Assuming Akers remains uninvolved going forward, Darrell Henderson Jr. will be a solid fantasy starter with Malcolm Brown, Ronnie Rivers and eventually rookie Kyren Williams (ankle) mixing in.--Jorden Hill - RotoBaller
