David Robertson Continues To Throw
2 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies relief pitcher David Robertson (calf) continues to throw and believes he is close to pitching again. Robertson would be a nice boost to the team's bullpen if they advance past the Atlanta Braves in the National League Division Series to play in the NL Championship Series next week. The 37-year-old veteran reliever strained his right calf celebrating a Bryce Harper home run in the Wild-Card Series and wasn't able to make the roster or the NLDS this week. Already with a pretty solid bullpen, Philadelphia would get a boost if Robertson is healthy enough to pitch next week. He had a 2.40 ERA, 1.16 WHIP, 20 saves and 81 strikeouts in 63 2/3 innings during the regular season.
