Anthony Davis Won't Play On Friday Night
2 years agoLos Angeles Lakers forward Anthony Davis (back) won't suit up in the team's preseason finale versus the Kings on Friday. The veteran has been dealing with lower back tightness, so he'll be held out for precautionary reasons. On a positive note, head coach Darvin Ham reported Davis would "definitely play" in the season-opener against the reigning NBA Champion Warriors on Tuesday night. The 29-year-old is unquestionably an elite talent, averaging 23.8 points, 10.2 rebounds, 2.3 blocks, and 1.4 steals during his career. However, he has logged fewer than 40 games in each of his previous two seasons. That said, as long as Davis is healthy, fantasy managers will get plenty of production. Yet, his inability to stay off the injury report has been a significant problem.
