Jordan Lawlar Looking Good In Arizona Fall League
2 years agoArizona Diamondbacks shortstop prospect Jordan Lawlar hit a combined .303/.401/.509 with a .910 OPS, 16 home runs, 62 RBI, 98 runs scored and 39 stolen bases in four minor-league stops during the 2022 season, but he finished up his year hitting just .212 with four homers, 11 RBI and 28 strikeouts in 20 games with Double-A Amarillo. In six games so far in the Arizona Fall League, though, he's gone 5-for-20 (.250) with two homers, four RBI, seven runs scored and two stolen bases for Salt River. Lawlar, who is just 20 years of age, is the club's No. 3 prospect, per MLB Pipeline. He's not particularly close to the big leagues and needs some more seasoning, but Lawlar is surely a name to keep an eye on with All-Star upside for the D-Backs.
