Washington Commanders wide receiver Dyami Brown had a surprise performance in Week 5. The second-year receiver found the end zone twice and ended the game with 23.5 half-point PPR fantasy points.
The former third-round pick led the team in receiving yards and fantasy points last week. It was also the most receiving yards and fantasy points he ever had in a game in his career.
Brown was the WR5 last week in half-point PPR scoring. He finished the week higher than several elite receivers, including Cooper Kupp, Stefon Diggs, and DK Metcalf. However, should fantasy players add Brown after his impressive Week 5 performance?

Should I Pickup Dyami Brown Off The Waiver Wire?
Last week Brown had 105 receiving yards in the loss to the Tennessee Titans. However, he had only two receptions on four targets in the game. Thus, the former UNC receiver was extremely lucky to score on both his downfield targets.
Furthermore, he faced a Tennessee secondary that has given up the third-most receiving yards and second-most touchdowns to wide receivers this season. More importantly, Brown played 10.2% of the snaps over the first four weeks of the year. He played 32% on Sunday as the Commanders were without Jahan Dotson and Logan Thomas.
Who Should I Target On Waivers Instead of Dyami Brown?
Fantasy players should look for better options on their waiver wire than Brown.
Three potential targets are Devin Duvernay, Rondale Moore, and Nico Collins. All three are available in at least 75% of ESPN leagues.
Of the three, Collins is my favorite target. However, the Houston Texans are on a bye this week, so fantasy players will have to wait until Week 7 to see the former Michigan star on the field again.
The second-year receiver is averaging 6.9 half-point PPR fantasy points per game this season, only 1.4 fewer than Brandin Cooks. Furthermore, he leads the team in receiving yards with 272 and has made several highlight reel plays downfield.
More importantly, Collins has started to earn more targets over the past few weeks. Last year he averaged 4.4 targets per game and saw three targets in Week 1. However, the former third-round pick has averaged six targets per game over the past four weeks, seeing at least four in every contest.
