Atlanta Picks Up Option For Jalen Johnson
2 years agoAtlanta Hawks forward Jalen Johnson had his third-year option exercised on Tuesday. The former first-round pick didn't get a lot of playing time last season, as he played only 5.5 minutes per game across 22 games. He put up 2.4 points and 1.2 rebounds per game while shooting 53.7% from the floor. He's already behind John Collins, De'Andre Hunter, Onyeka Okongwu and Justin Holiday for minutes at both power forward and small forward. After the Hawks drafted AJ Griffin, that brings more competition for minutes. Fantasy managers should not consider Johnson in any format right now unless there's a major shakeup via trade or injury.
