Yu Darvish Lined Up To Start Game 2 Of NLDS
2 years agoSan Diego Padres right-hander Yu Darvish will start Game 2 of the National League Division Series against the division-rival Los Angeles Dodgers on Wednesday on the road. Darvish was excellent in the Game 1 win over the New York Mets in the Wild-Card Series last Friday, allowing just one earned run on six hits while walking none and striking out four in seven innings of work. The 36-year-old Japanese hurler finished the 2022 regular season 16-8 with a strong 3.10 ERA (3.31 FIP), a 0.95 WHIP and a 197:37 K:BB in 194 2/3 innings over 30 starts. Darvish made four starts against the Dodgers this year, going 1-2 and surrendering seven earned runs on 18 hits (four homers allowed) while walking five and striking out 31 in 25 innings.
