Tyler Allgeier Leads The Falcons In Rushing Attempts
2 years agoAtlanta Falcons running back Tyler Allgeier led the team with 13 rushing attempts in the 21-15 Week 5 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. With Cordarrelle Patterson (knee) unable to play, the rookie running back took over as the starter. While he had 13 attempts in the game, the former BYU star had only 45 rushing yards and failed to find the end zone. Furthermore, Allgeier didn't have a reception in the game. Given the matchup against Tampa Bay, the rookie's struggles aren't surprising. Unfortunately, the Falcons take on the San Francisco 49ers next week, who have held running backs to only 2.9 yards per rushing attempt this season.
