John Tavares Returns To Practice
2 years agoToronto Maple Leafs center John Tavares (oblique) returned to practice on Friday, giving fantasy managers hope that he could be ready for the team's season opener on Oct. 12. At the start of last week, the Maple Leafs captain was ruled out for at least three weeks, but it appears that he's recovering from an oblique strain quicker than first thought. Tavares wore a regular jersey at Friday's practice but didn't take line rushes. The star center had a slow start to last season but still managed to average nearly a point per game in 79 outings with 27 goals and 49 assists. He remains a top-tier fantasy option.
