Broncos Defense Does All It Can Against Colts
2 years agoThe Denver Broncos defense did its job in the Week 5 loss to the Indianapolis Colts on Thursday night. They limited the Colts offense to just 12 points, sacked quarterback Matt Ryan six times and picked him off twice for a solid fantasy showing to begin Week 5 action. They limited Indianapolis to just 306 yards of total offense, but Denver's offense wasn't able to help them out at all in the overtime loss. It was a costly game in terms of injuries as well for Denver's D, as cornerback Ronald Darby (knee) and linebackers Joey Jewell (knee) and Baron Browning (wrist) all left the game at some point with injuries. The team is already without pass-rusher Randy Gregory (knee) for at least the next three games. Denver's D will have their hands full next week against the Los Angeles Chargers.
