Corbin Burnes Goes Three Innings In Final Start
2 years agoMilwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Corbin Burnes tossed three scoreless and hitless innings in his final start of the 2022 season on Wednesday in the 4-2 loss to the Arizona Diamondbacks. Burnes walked none and struck out five to finish his season with a 12-8 record, 2.94 ERA (3.14 FIP), a 0.96 WHIP, a league-leading 243 strikeouts and 51 walks in 202 innings over a career-high 33 starts for the Brew Crew. The 27-year-old's 2.94 ERA was his highest mark since the 2019 season, showing just how good he's been for fantasy managers and the Milwaukee starting rotation in recent years. Burnes has now made the All-Star team in back-to-back seasons and will remain a highly sought-after fantasy starter in 2023.
