Tommy Pham Scratched On Wednesday
2 years agoBoston Red Sox outfielder Tommy Pham was scratched from the starting lineup on Wednesday in the season finale against the Tampa Bay Rays due to an undisclosed reason. We'll likely have a reason for Pham's absence at some point, but the 34-year-old will finish his season with a .236/.312/.374 slash line with 17 home runs, 63 RBI, 89 runs scored and eight stolen bases in 622 plate appearances and 144 games with the Red Sox and Cincinnati Reds. In his 53 games with Boston, he went 50-for-214 (.234) with six homers, 24 RBI, 32 runs and a steal. With Pham being scratched, Abraham Almonte took over in left field and hit ninth in the batting order against Rays left-hander Josh Fleming on Wednesday.
