2 years agoAtlanta Braves left-hander Max Fried was removed from his Friday start against the New York Mets with an illness. Fried allowed one run on four hits over five innings while striking out three and walking none. He was replaced on the mound in the sixth inning by veteran right-hander Collin McHugh. Fried was caught on TV cameras throwing up during the contest and wound up throwing just 71 pitches. Fried has a 13-7 record, 2.48 ERA, 1.01 WHIP, and 170 strikeouts over 185 1/3 innings of work in 2022.--Matt T - RotoBaller
