Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown came into this season with significant momentum. Over the last six weeks of 2021, St. Brown averaged 25.2 PPR points per game and was the WR2 behind Cooper Kupp.
There was widespread skepticism that the former USC Trojan would be able to replicate that success in 2022, though. Through three weeks, St. Brown has proven the doubters wrong. He is currently the WR3 on the season, and his Week 2 performance with 184 total yards and two touchdowns was incredible.
Unfortunately, St. Brown suffered an ankle injury during last week's game versus Minnesota. Fantasy managers are left wondering what his status will be for this Sunday's matchup with Seattle.

Amon-Ra St. Brown Injury News
Amon-Ra St. Brown put forth a solid stat line in his Week 3 showing. His six catches for 73 yards against Minnesota obscured the fact that he exited the game briefly with an ankle issue.

While the Sun God returned to action after his evaluation, the topic of his injury was an important one to cover in the aftermath of Detroit's close loss. St. Brown provided reporters with more information about his ankle, expressing his belief that it was nothing major.

While this is promising, players are known to be very confident in their ability to withstand injuries. Official updates that are sprinkled throughout the week are more informative. Thankfully, we have those too.
Is Amon-Ra St. Brown Injured or Playing in Week 4?
The first major update we got on St. Brown's status came on Tuesday. The talented wideout had tests performed on his ankle on Monday, and they revealed nothing concerning for the long-term. In fact, the results were even reportedly "encouraging."
#Lions budding star WR Amon-Ra St. Brown underwent tests Monday on the ankle injury he suffered at Minnesota, and the results were encouraging overall, per sources. They’ll be cautious, but if St. Brown misses time, it shouldn’t be anything long-term.

However, it remains the case that St. Brown has not been practicing. He did not practice on Wednesday while still recovering from his ailment.

Moreover, when asked about his injury on Wednesday, the Sun God was less direct with his optimism than he was right after the game ended. He is considered questionable for Sunday's game versus Seattle.

The Seahawks have surrendered the seventh-fewest fantasy points to wideouts this year. Some of that is due to the game scripts that have arisen, but nonetheless, St. Brown will not face a favorable matchup in the event he's able to play.
The key things with St. Brown's status are that he avoided a severe injury and that he was able to return to last Sunday's game. These suggest a strong chance of him being able to suit up this weekend. However, recent developments are not causing as much confidence, so the RotoBaller Week 4 Waiver Wire Rankings may be useful for St. Brown managers in need of a backup plan.
