Aaron Judge Blasts Home Run No. 61 To Tie AL Record
2 years agoNew York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge blasted a two-run shot off Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Tim Mayza for his 61st home run of the season, tying Roger Maris for the American League record. Judge joined Maris as the only American League player to reach the 61-home run mark in a single season. The 30-year-old went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer and a walk in Wednesday's contest against the Blue Jays. Wednesday's game is currently in the ninth inning; the Yankees slugger could have one more at-bat. Judge is having an incredible season, slashing .313/.425/.696 with 61 home runs, 130 RBI, 130 runs and 16 stolen bases over 151 games.
