Eagles Defense Records Nine Sacks In Week 3
2 years agoThe Philadelphia Eagles defense held the Washington Commanders to eight points while sacking quarterback Carson Wentz nine times during their victory Sunday. The team also forced Wentz to fumble twice, recovering one of them. Philadelphia was able to shut down the red-hot Washington passing attack, allowing 193 of Wentz's 211 passing yards after the midway point in the third quarter when they were already up 24-0. The Eagles have held Minnesota and Washington to fewer than 10 points the past two weeks but face an improved Jacksonville offense led by former head coach Doug Pederson at home next week. The Eagles defense is a solid fantasy option in Week 4.
