Aaron Jones A Low-Upside RB1 In Week 3
2 years agoGreen Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones will face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on the road Sunday. After a massive fantasy performance last week where he put up 170 total yards and scored two touchdowns against Chicago, the 28-year-old faces a stiff Tampa Bay defense. The Buccaneers have surrendered an average of only 72 rushing yards per game to opposing running backs, allowing zero touchdowns to the position on the ground or through the air. The good news for both Jones and teammate AJ Dillon is their involvement in the offense will remain heavy. The Packers are without wide receiver Sammy Watkins (hamstring) this week, while Christian Watson (hamstring) and Randall Cobb (illness) are also in danger of missing the game. Jones should see a decent target share and record 10-plus carries, but his fantasy scoring ceiling is capped due to the tough matchup. He is a back-end RB1 in Week 3.
