Mariners Concerned About Julio Rodriguez's Injury
2 years agoSeattle Mariners rookie outfielder Julio Rodriguez (back) will undergo an MRI exam on Friday in Kansas City, according to manager Scott Servais, who called the injury "concerning." Rodriguez didn't go for imaging tests when he first experienced lower back tightness and missed three games last weekend. The 21-year-old left the game in the first inning on Thursday against the Oakland Athletics with more back tightness, so fantasy managers can probably expect him to be out on Friday against the Royals. We'll all just be hoping that he can return before the end of the regular season. J-Rod has lived up to the hype in his first MLB season, slashing .279/.341/.499 with an .840 OPS, 27 homers, 73 RBI, 80 runs and 25 stolen bases in 499 at-bats. Look for more updates on Rodriguez on Friday.
