Shai Gilgeous-Alexander To Miss At Least Two Weeks
2 years agoOklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (knee) won't be available for the beginning of training camp. The 24-year-old is dealing with an MCL sprain in his left knee and will miss at least two weeks before being re-evaluated. Gilgeous-Alexander is coming off a solid year, averaging 24.5 points, 5.9 assists, 5.0 rebounds, and 1.3 steals. However, after shooting a career-high 41.8% from deep in 2020-21, he took a huge step backward last season by sinking only 30.0% of his tries from downtown. He also missed the final 10 games with a right ankle injury. Nonetheless, Gilgeous-Alexander could be ready to roll for the start of the season, so his latest ailment shouldn't impact his draft stock.
