Brandon Marsh Injured Tuesday
2 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies outfielder Brandon Marsh (knee) left Tuesday's game early against the Toronto Blue Jays with "left knee discomfort," and he'll be evaluated further. Marsh went 0-for-1 with a strikeout in the contest before being replaced by Dalton Guthrie in right field. Matt Vierling shifted from right field to center field. It's now the second time this year that Marsh has injured his knee while jumping into the outfield wall, with the first occurrence sending him to the injured list. For now, consider him day-to-day. If the 24-year-old is forced to the IL again, it could be the end of his year unless the Phillies make the playoffs. Marsh entered the game hitting .284 (25-for-88) with two homers, 12 RBI, nine runs scored and two steals in 28 games for the Phils after being acquired from the Angels at the trade deadline.
