Keith Yandle Retires After 16 NHL Seasons
2 years agoDefenseman Keith Yandle has announced his retirement from the NHL. The 36-year-old wraps things up after spending 16 seasons in the league. Yandle owns the NHL's all-time record for most consecutive regular-season games played with 989 and he skated in 1,109 games in total, registering 103 goals and 516 assists. The former fourth-round draft pick was an NHL All-Star as recently as 2019, but his effectiveness deteriorated quickly and Yandle managed just 19 points in 77 games for the Flyers last season after the Panthers had bought out his contract that had two more years to run. He also played for the Coyotes and the Rangers during his career.
