Freddy Peralta Throws Off Mound Monday
2 years agoMilwaukee Brewers right-hander Freddy Peralta (shoulder) threw off a mound on Monday in a significant step in his recovery. Peralta was able to throw off flat ground on Saturday, so this is another step as he tries to return to Milwaukee's starting rotation to close out the year. The 26-year-old has been on the injured list for over a week with right shoulder fatigue, but he's clearly making progress. The Brewers expect Peralta to make it back before the end of the regular season, barring a setback. However, even if he does, time is running out for him to make an impact for fantasy managers. Peralta is 4-3 on the year with a 3.45 ERA (3.06 FIP), a 1.02 WHIP and a 76:25 K:BB over 70 1/3 innings and 15 starts.
