Liam Hendriks Blows Save Against Baltimore
2 years agoChicago White Sox closer Liam Hendriks blew only his fourth save of the season in the 4-3 extra-inning loss to the Baltimore Orioles on Thursday. Hendriks allowed a solo home run while walking none and striking out two in his inning of work. The 33-year-old veteran right-hander has 28 saves on the season and 66 strikeouts in 45 innings of work, but he's allowed a home run in back-to-back appearances. In 10 appearances in August, Hendriks has allowed three earned runs on seven hits (two homers) while walking two and striking out 13. Despite blowing the save on Thursday, he's picked up eight saves this month and remains a strong closing option for fantasy managers the rest of the season.
