Blake Treinen Throws Bullpen Saturday
2 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers relief pitcher Blake Treinen (shoulder) threw a 25-pitch bullpen session on Saturday, his fifth as he works his way back from a right shoulder injury. He threw all of his pitches and said the velocity and spin readings came back looking good. There isn't much clarity on a timetable for his return, but skipper Dave Roberts said mid-August is possible. The 33-year-old will return to a high-leverage setup role and might see an occasional save chance (he has zero so far in 2022), but he's also a nice source of ratios and strikeouts when he's healthy. Before his injury, Treinen had a 3.00 ERA, 0.33 WHIP, five strikeouts and no walks in just three innings pitched for LA.
