Starling Marte To Miss His Fourth Straight Game Wednesday
2 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Starling Marte (groin) will miss his fourth consecutive game on Wednesday as the team takes on right-hander Charlie Morton and the Atlanta Braves. The 33-year-old veteran injured his groin during this past Saturday's game against the Miami Marlins. On Tuesday, he stated that his groin injury was improving, but that he didn't expect to play in the series finale against the Braves, so it's no surprise that he's sitting on Wednesday. He remains day-to-day for now. We'll see if he's able to make his return on Thursday, when the team opens up a four-game road series against the Chicago Cubs.
