C.J. Cron Heads Back To The Bench On Tuesday
2 years agoColorado Rockies first baseman C.J. Cron is absent from the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against right-hander Mike Clevinger and the San Diego Padres. Connor Joe will be manning first base for the game. Cron was held out of action on both Saturday and Sunday due to a left wrist injury that occurred when he was hit by a pitch on Friday. He returned to action on Monday, but went 0-for-4 in the game with three strikeouts. The Rockies may be proceeding cautiously with the 32-year-old, who has had a fantastic season thus far. Across 85 games, he's hit .292/.345/.544 with 20 home runs, 67 RBI and 49 runs.
