Garrett Cooper, Carlos Rodon Named To All-Star Team
2 years agoMiami Marlins first baseman/outfielder Garrett Cooper and San Francisco Giants left-hander Carlos Rodon have been named to the National League All-Star team, replacing Bryce Harper and Josh Hader on the roster, respectively. While Cooper isn't a big time power threat, he's hitting an exceptional .299/.367/.460 with an .826 OPS, seven home runs, 40 RBI and 28 runs scored in 76 games for the Marlins as we get ready to close out the first half of the season. Rodon, meanwhile, has been great in his first year in San Fran, going 8-5 with a 2.70 ERA, 1.06 WHIP, a league-leading 2.14 FIP, a league-leading 0.4 home runs per nine innings allowed, 124 strikeouts and 32 walks in 100 innings over 17 starts.
