2 years agoMiami Marlins left-hander Jesus Luzardo (forearm) is scheduled to throw around 35 pitches in a two-inning bullpen session on Friday. Meanwhile, right-hander Sixto Sanchez (shoulder) will throw around 30 pitches in a bullpen session on Saturday. Luzardo has been out almost two months with a left forearm strain and will likely need at least a few minor league rehab starts before he's an option to return to the team's starting rotation. In six starts before his injury, the southpaw had a 4.03 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and a 41:16 K:BB ratio in 29 innings. Sanchez, who hasn't pitched in the big leagues since 2022, isn't expected to pitch this year, so he can remain on the waiver wire in single-season formats.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
