Jazz Chisholm Jr. To Play In Rehab Game Saturday
2 years agoMiami Marlins second baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr. (back) did some ground-ball drills and core/mobility work in Jupiter, Fla., on Thursday. Chisholm will next play in a minor league rehab game in the Florida Complex League on Saturday. The 24-year-old continues to make progress from his back injury and could theoretically rejoin the Marlins lineup at some point next week if he doesn't have any setbacks and looks good on the field. The Fish are unlikely to rush him back, but he needs to be stashed in all fantasy formats in the meantime. In 213 at-bats this year, Chisholm is hitting .254/.325/.535 with an .860 OPS, 14 homers, 45 RBI, 39 runs scored and 12 stolen bases. Joey Wendle and Jon Berti have seen some starts at the keystone with Chisholm out, and it remains to be seen how the Marlins will keep both of them in the lineup regularly when Chisholm returns.
