2 years agoDetroit Tigers first baseman Spencer Torkelson was removed from Friday's game against the Kansas City Royals after getting hit in the head by a pitch in the seventh inning. Torkelson went 1-for-2 in the game before getting plunked in the helmet by an 88 MPH pitch from right-hander Brad Keller. Torkelson reportedly looked fine while walking off the field and into the dugout under his own power. Look for an update on the prized rookie sometime after Friday's game ends.--Matt T - RotoBaller
