Jon Berti Not Playing Against Mets
2 years agoMiami Marlins infielder Jon Berti is not in the starting lineup on Saturday against the New York Mets. Berti will take a seat while in the middle of a nine-game hitting streak in which he's batting .351 with four RBI, five runs scored and nine stolen bases to bring his season slash line up to .292/.390/.416 in 42 games. He also has an .806 OPS with two home runs, 14 RBI, 26 runs scored and a league-high 21 stolen bases. The 32-year-old has been great for fantasy managers and has been seeing regular playing time at third base with both Joey Wendle and Brian Robinson on the injured list. However, his playing time could be cut soon with both Wendle and Robinson on the mend. Willians Astudillo is at third base and is hitting eighth on Saturday against Mets right-hander Chris Bassitt.
