Jacob Stallings Loses Arbitration Case
2 years agoMiami Marlins catcher Jacob Stallings recently lost his salary arbitration case against the team and will make $2.45 million this year instead of the $3.1 million that he requested back in March. Stallings hasn't been quite as good as he was the last two years with the Pittsburgh Pirates, and he's slashing just .204/.276/.268 with two home runs, 21 RBI and 16 runs scored in 174 plate appearances over 54 games played. The 32-year-old backstop will continue to split time behind the dish with Nick Fortes, and he isn't much of a fantasy option in his first year in Miami.
