Starling Marte Not Starting Against Milwaukee
3 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Starling Marte (forearm) is not in the starting lineup on Thursday against the Milwaukee Brewers after he was hit by a pitch on the forearm on Wednesday. Marte is dealing with a bruised right forearm after X-rays came back negative, so fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for now. There's a chance the 33-year-old could be back for the series opener on Friday against the Miami Marlins. With Marte out Thursday, rookie Nick Plummer draws into the lineup in right field and will hit ninth against Brewers left-hander Aaron Ashby. Plummer has only had 24 major league plate appearances in his first 12 MLB games and has gone 4-for-23 (.174) with eight strikeouts, although he does have two home runs and five RBI.
