Jakob Junis Looking At 4-6-Week Absence
2 years agoSan Francisco Giants right-hander Jakob Junis (hamstring) is likely looking at a four- to six-week absence, according to the team. Junis is currently rehabbing the injury after hitting the injured list on Saturday after suffering a Grade 2 hamstring strain during his start on Friday night. The injury will now keep him out at least a month and possibly longer, as he will most certainly need a handful of rehab starts after the extended absence. The loss of Junis is a big one for the Giants, as he has been their most consistent pitcher, posting a 4-1 record, 2.63 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 40 strikeouts over nine starts.
