Mike Trout Leaves With Groin Tightness
3 years agoLos Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout (groin) left Tuesday's game against the Boston Red Sox early due to left groin tightness. It's not what you want to hear from a team looking to snap a 12-game skid after they fired manager Joe Maddon earlier in the day. Trout entered Tuesday's game in a 1-for-28 slump in his last eight games, but he had gone 2-for-2 with a two-run home run and a double before departing early with his injury. The 30-year-old still entered the day with a .276/.382/.575 slash line with a .957 OPS, 13 home runs, 28 RBI and 36 runs scored in 181 at-bats, but fantasy managers will be crossing their fingers that Trout won't need a stint on the injured list. At the very least, he'll be day-to-day and is unlikely to be in the lineup on Wednesday. Check back for more updates on Trout's condition.
