Rhamondre Stevenson Works On Route-Running
3 years agoNew England Patriots second-year running back Rhamondre Stevenson said that he focused mostly on route-running and "being a third-down back" this offseason. Stevenson caught 14 passes for 123 yards in 12 games (two starts) in his rookie season. The 24-year-old added 606 rushing yards and five touchdowns on 133 carries. He wasn't much of a factor in New England's crowded backfield until Week 5, but he finished with a 24.7% snap share when all was said and done and is a nice complement to Damien Harris. But James White is also a third-down receiving back, but he's 30 years old and is recovering from a season-ending hip injury. Stevenson is more attractive than White as a depth option in PPR leagues.
