Brandon Belt Exits With Neck Stiffness
3 years agoSan Francisco Giants first baseman Brandon Belt departed Saturday's contest versus the Cardinals early due to stiffness in his neck and is considered day-to-day. Belt's injury came on a swing during his at-bat in the eighth inning as his club was enjoying a 13-7 lead, so he was pulled before finishing the AB, The timing is very poor as he was activated from the COVID list earlier in the day after missing the last 10 days of action, but we will wait on an update from the team on Sunday to find out the true severity. The 34-year-old has a long history with injury so even if this remains a minor ailment, managers shouldn't hold their breath that he stays healthy the rest of the way.
