3 years agoColorado Rockies relief pitcher Daniel Bard has stepped into the closer role nicely this season. On Wednesday, Bard collected his seventh save of the season in the 5-2 win over the Washington Nationals. The veteran reliever struck out both Juan Soto and Yadiel Hernandez on his way to a clean ninth inning save. He is now 7-for-8 in save chances this season with a solid 2.00 ERA over nine innings. Bard has proven himself and is deserving of being rostered in fantasy formats where relievers matter.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
