3 years agoThe Baltimore Orioles placed starting pitcher Chris Ellis (shoulder) on the 10-day injured list on Tuesday. The move is retroactive to Monday, April 25. The 29-year-old is dealing with right shoulder inflammation. Left-handed pitcher Alexander Wells was called up from Triple-A to fill Ellis' roster spot. Wells made a relief appearance for the Orioles earlier this year before he was sent down to Triple-A. Ellis was scheduled to make his next start this coming Saturday against the Boston Red Sox. The team hasn't announced who will make that start in his place, but Wells could be a candidate as he's primarily been a starter in the minors.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
